At the ripe "old" age of 37, I decided to take an oil painting class. Although I've been interested in art for as long as I can remember, I haven't pursued it seriously since high school. This is a secondary journal for me to keep track of my progress and share it (and other arts & crafts things) with others.

The image in my user icon is a mandala I drew in 2004 after meditating for an image of self-healing. The "short version" is that it is an image of myself if I let my inner light spill out into everyday life instead of trying to keep it all stopped up inside.
